This course is a continuation of the introduction sequence to Czech language and culture. We will use the Reality Czech online textbook, which focuses heavily on learning through real-life situations. The course meets four days a week with additional assignments to be completed asynchronously. The course places significant emphasis on listening, speaking, reading and writing. Students will learn the fundamentals of Czech grammar and a wide range of everyday vocabulary. Videos, music, film and literature will be used in class to practice language skills, as well as expose students to Czech culture.

This course is 100% online and includes live streaming video. Real-time participation is required during scheduled meeting times.
First class day: Monday, January 13
Last class day: Monday, April 28
Final exam: Instructor will provide information.

No textbook purchase is required for this course. All materials are available in Canvas and on the course website, which includes the online textbook.
Technical Requirements
Reliable internet connection (wired connection is recommended for synchronous interactions and video recordings). A computer with webcam, microphone and headphones.
Emphasis on four-skills proficiency: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Czech 406 or 506.
May be taken for a letter grade or pass/fail, auditing not permitted.
