Change to Self-Paced Course Prices
Prices for all University Extension self-paced courses will increase by $45.00 beginning February 1, 2021. Fees for online exam proctoring using Proctorio are now included in the course cost, and students will no longer be required to test in person at an approved proctoring center. This should provide an overall savings in the total cost of taking a self-paced course, as students will no longer be required to pay proctoring center fees.

COVID-19 Pass/Fail Grade Exceptions Announced
UT Austin's Provost announced that students will be allowed to select up to three courses for pass/fail grading status, after January 6, 2021. Courses that qualify for the exception are those taken between September 1, 2020 and May 28, 2021. Learn more.

Online Exam Proctoring for All Self-Paced Courses
We are now offering online exam proctoring through Proctorio. Proctorio monitors exam-taking remotely, including recording testing sessions, so students in self-paced courses can take exams from home. Learn more about testing policy changes to take effect in 2021.
