Mission

University Extension provides academic opportunities from The University of Texas at Austin that meet the continuing needs of learners in Texas and beyond.

History

University Extension (UEX) is an academic unit of The University of Texas at Austin offering UT and non-UT students the opportunity to earn college credits. Founded in 1909 as the Division of Extension, UEX has been providing UT Austin educational opportunities to learners in Texas and beyond for more than a century.
