Focuses on students' career goals through academic discussion and evaluations, while students are working in professional internships with public and private enterprises. Internship to be arranged by the student and approved by the director of the Business Foundations Program. Offered on the pass/fail basis only.
Completion of at least forty-five semester hours of coursework, ACC 310F with a grade of at least C, and consent of the director of the Business Foundations Program.
This course is designed for non-business students participating in the Business Foundations Program (BFP) who may have been offered a business internship opportunity with the employer requirement of "must be taking a qualified college credit class." This class platform will allow BFP students to work as interns within the business community, blending the skills taught in their own major studies with business skills learned in BFP.
The course does not substitute for any other BFP required classes and can be repeated in additional semesters. Students participating in the summer are expected to work a minimum of 120 hours over a six-week period, which equals eight hours over a 15-week long semester. Further information about the internship program and application instructions can be found on the Business Foundations Internship website.
