Staying On Track Over Winter Break

University Extension will be closed for the Winter Break from Noon, Friday, December 20, 2024 through Wednesday, January 1, 2025.

Important Reminders

  • Register for self-paced courses before Winter Break begins. When our office is closed, new course registrations will not be processed. Friday, December 20 is the last day that course registrations will be processed through January 1, 2025.

  • Be aware of how Winter Break can affect your self-paced course progress. When our office is closed for holidays, our instructors are also on holiday and not obliged to grade. By all means, take advantage of the holiday downtime to work on your course assignments, but keep in mind that assignments submitted over the break will be graded as quickly as possible in January.

  • Don’t wait to purchase an extension. If you determine that you cannot complete your course before the expiration date, you may purchase a course extension.

  • Don't take an exam over Winter Break. We discourage students from taking online exams during the Winter Break since staff will be away from the office for an extended period of time and unable to assist with any issues that might arise until after the break.

Work With An Advisor

It is always a good idea to consult with your academic advisor or a University Extension advisor before registering.
