In this course students are introduced to a selection of Shakespeare's sonnets and plays, among them A Midsummer Night's Dream, Richard II, 1 Henry IV, Henry V, Twelfth Night, Othello, King Lear, Antony and Cleopatra, and The Winter's Tale.
This course is independent study and is self-paced. Students have five months upon registration in which to complete all coursework and exams.

- Shakespeare: Selected Plays - Collection of Selected Readings. Available as digital course pack from XanEdu, Inc. at www.xanedu.com.
Students are required to use a laptop or desktop computer with a high-speed internet connection. Tablets and smartphones are not supported. The computer should have a modern and updated operating system, at least 2GB of RAM and also meet Proctorio’s system requirements for online testing.
Nine semester hours of coursework in English or rhetoric and writing.
