UEX Testing Policy Changes, Beginning Spring 2021

This past spring, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we introduced the option to take exams for UEX self-paced courses online using Proctorio. After several months of successful exam proctoring and positive feedback from students, we are pleased to announce that online testing will be the primary method for testing going forward.

Some of our current testing policies and procedures were designed around the logistics of in-person testing. As a result, the following policy changes will be effective for all self-paced students starting January 19, 2021.

  • For courses with a midterm exam, students will only be able to take the midterm exam after completing all modules ahead of the exam. In addition, students will not be able to begin subsequent modules until they’ve completed the midterm exam.

  • Students will no longer be granted an additional 30 days past the course completion date to make in-person proctoring arrangements for the final exam. The final exam must be taken by the course completion date.
