Class Description

In this course students will learn about aggregate economic processes such as consumption, investment, government expenditures, banking, inflation, and employment.

This course is independent study and is self-paced. Students have five months upon registration in which to complete all coursework and exams.

Technical Requirements

Students are required to use a laptop or desktop computer with a high-speed internet connection. Tablets and smartphones are not supported. The computer should have a modern and updated operating system, at least 2GB of RAM, a webcam, a microphone and also meet Honorlock's system requirements for online testing.

A phone, camera, or scanner to digitize handwritten work for submission online.

Analysis of the economy as a whole. Measurement of output, the price level, and employment. Basic theories of the determination of Gross domestic product, investment and growth, and inflation. Introduction to fiscal policy and monetary policy.

Economics 304K with a grade of at least C-.
